Firmwares for the Sigmatek XM-400 Pro
WARNING
Upgrading a player with an official or unofficial firmware is always a risk for your player !
If your CD is bad burned, too old, or your burner don't burn correctly or the current line is suddenly interrupted during the upgrade, etc. your take the risk to fail the upgrade and loose your player.
So in all cases, this softwares are plusblihed "as is" and you're the only one responsible for the risk you're going to take.
Concerning unofficial firmwares, you take the risk to do not be able to send your player to After Sales Service Department, depending on the kind of failure (if they can see the firmware is not official: garanty is canceled). So please think of it before upgrading.
Moreover, please take the time TO READ THE UGPRADE GUIDES! Large majority of people who do not achieve to upgrade their player did not read carrefully the guide, so... make a small effort please!
If you do not agree with this or do not understand my english terms, then JUST DON'T USE THESE FIRMWARES!

The ZIP file contains the file "935.bin".
This firmware includes the improvements of the previous firmware, so you're not obliged to install first the 1109 before installing the 1207.
Changes/Fixes with this version:
AVI subtitles:
- Outlining will be fixed without blur defaults
- 44 characters by lines instead of 33 (but always with a maximum of 60 characters for all lines!)
- SRT encoded with codepage 1250 (Central Europe) will be supported
- The temporal delay will be fixed (less than 1/2 sec before)
Setup, saving parameters:
- General volume
- EQ Type and Sound Field
Others:
- OGM are now playable (was not in 1109 and was buggy in 0802)
- OGM (XVID + OGG), always renamed in AVI won't have anymore jerks or audio shift
- Some information on MP3 are displayed in the right part of the screen (ID3 tags, but they can be truncated))
- More languages will be recognized and displayed on commercial DVD
- ... and the same improvements included in 1109 firmware (see below)
ATTENTION Regression (with regard to 0802/1109) :
- Tone problem, you have to press 1 time the "#" and "b" to get a good sound (else it's distorded)

- multilingual SMI files are displayed correctly
- SUB (text) and SUB/IDX (picture) files will be supported
- the message displayed about activated subtitles will disappear correctly
Setup, saving parameters:
- languages (before only FR and EN was saved)
Others:
- NO MORE problems with XviD and NVOP (Packed Bitsream) + BVOP + QPEL
- no more file loss in file browser when we get more than 8 files and when stopping AVI playing
ATTENTION Regressions :
- OGM files can't be launched anymore, even if renamed as AVI

This firmware includes the improvements of the 1207 one.
Theorically, you always can downgrade to official firmware.
An history text file is included in the zip file (do not burn it on upgrade CD).
Changes/Fixes with this version (v.1.1):
- Support for .TXT Subtitles
- Fixed Support for Language CP1252 in File Browser (250-255 chars were truncated)
- Back to two versions format (some users has complain about Subtitle Position for TV's 16:9) :
choose yours 4:3 or 16:9
- Color palette of .IDX/.SUB Subtitles fixed
- Word wrap disabled (for now)
- General bug fixes
Changes/Fixes with this version included too in v.1.0 (removed from the site):
- Support for 46 characters + file extension in File Browser
- Fixed timing for .srt and .idx/sub. subtitles: that means now subtitles appear and disappear at the good time!
- Subtitles Pre Wrap: that means a carriage return is inserted automatically if the line is too large for the screen!
- Subtitles Vertical Centering according to the number of line displayed
- New Subtitle Window Position (same position for PAL and NTSC in one single version)
- New OSD Graphics (thanks to Laza)
- English and French Language update (thanks to Micromega)
Changes/Fixes with this version included too in v.0.9 (removed from the site) :
- The JPEG preview is no more displayed on file explorer
- When several subtitle files are present is the same directory and if one or more are their filename greater than 20 characters, then files are not found : it's now fixed
- Subtitles are now lowered on TV screen for your comfort

- New OSD font
- New file browser picture (thanks to ak97052d)
- No more JPEG preview in file browser to do not interact with long file names
Note: in certain conditions, the preview can be back, it's not too much annoying.
- Direct support for OGG Vorbis files, even with "OGG" extension!
- Direct support for OGM files even with "OGM" extension!
