| 2006/07/17 : New firmware for Sigmatek XM-400 : XM400-6A-0224 |
|
Here we go! Thanks again to Exsport! You can find more explanation in its mother tongue, in the AlfTech forum.
The tone problem is now eradicated with this last version. This version is the result of an extraction from a recent Sigmatek XM-400 player.
Some tests are progressing to know exactly all improvement or regression with this version.
You can follow this in the english section of our Sigmatek forum.
Modders are probably going to add the really good functionnalities of previous modified firmwares...
To download and install this firmware, go to the firmware section. |

To improve the quality of their products, Sigmatek is looking for people being able to translate technical and/or commercial documentations from English to the following languages: French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Polish, Greek, etc... (Europe).
If you have already experience in this type of translation, for one or several languages, thank you to directly contact Mr. WANG Shiliang at shiliang@sigmatekcomputer.com by specifying your qualification, languages and your rates. |
|
| 2006/03/23 : When XM-400 Pro will be again available? |
|
At this time, few stocks are available. And for European people who want to buy one piece from Pixmania the delay seems to be long.
But Sigmatek just gave me an availability: around the end of March.
So you just have to wait a little more... |
|
| 2006/02/22 : Fix is available for the "tone problem"! |
|
Thanks to Filip from Acomp and Exsport for their work on this fix.
The update is once again unofficial... but it's there and it works!
So for those who didn't install new version because of this bug or those who are upset to push the "#" and "b" button, then jump to our forum to get the last firmware! |

I just want to wish merry chrismas and my best wishes for the next year to all visitors of sigmatek-players: health, prosperity, love...
And few small firmwares for our players ;o)

| 2005/12/21 : New firmware progressing by ExSport et cHiEsA |
|
ExSport has recently released a new firmware with exceptional improvements: new menus has been added in setup and allow subtitles behavior: text colors and shadowing, positionning, font, etc. it's really great!
This firmware is based on previous cHiEsA firmware. cHiEsA is going to update the ExSport firmware to add french and other language translation for new menus and maybe correct few other bugs.
If you want to follow or participate to this firmware, just go in our forum (french and english spoken).
Note: it's always time to ask cHiEsA to translate new menus in other languages: spanish, german, italian... so you can translate them from english, just request it in the forum discussion thread.
And many thanks to ExSport and cHiEsA for their great jobs! |

The last one from Sigmatek, it's going to replace the XM-300F. It has almost the same specification, but with a slim design. Furthermore, its price is also attractive around 50 Euro.
Equipped with a Mediatek 1389DE chipset, it does not innovate by its features, but since the last firmware release it makes all that we can expect from it.
The only reproaches we can make are it can't play WMA streams in AVI file and it's not at all compatible with DTS streams (decoded or pass-thru). Otherwise, it can play without problems DivX 3/4/5 and DivX 6 (multi XSUB subtitles and multi audio streams), XviD (including those with option "Packed Bitstream") and subtitles in SRT, SUB, TCT, SMI and SSA format.
A good player for a small investment, wiating the next generation of new players compatible HD, Nero Digital, DivX Pro (with all option), etc. |

|
Here we go! The new site for the Sigmatek XMB-510 is alive, after a long work to recreate from scratch the new version 3 of the Sigmatek-players site.
This player is really beautiful and can be fixed on a wall, near a flat screen.
This site is going to grow step by step... you can already visit specification, the FAQ and the pictures gallery. |
